One Laptop Per Child Organization (OLPC)
Rahnuma Public School takes pride in being the pioneering institution in Pakistan to initiate the One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) program. This groundbreaking initiative ensures that each student at our school has personal access to a laptop, extending beyond the classroom to facilitate learning at home as well.

OLPC Volunteers regularly get involved in training sessions for both staff and students, aiming to enhance the overall educational experience. Collaborative efforts with OLPC Volunteers have been integral in refining our approach to education and  the learning process. Learn more about them at: http://one.laptop.org/

Carnegie Mellon University Computer Science Academy
Rahnuma Public School proudly integrates the innovative computer science curriculum provided by Carnegie Mellon University Computer Science Academy (CMU CS Academy). This online, graphics-based program in Python, designed by Carnegie Mellon University, enriches the learning experience for both teachers and students at our school.

SOS Villages Pakistan
In addition to the logistics support for getting laptops from Australia to Pakistan, our partnership with SOS Villages has extended to the development of teacher training workshops. Rahnuma Public School has actively participated in this collaboration, with our teachers conducting workshops to promote the effective use of XO 4 Touch laptops from Australia. These workshops aim to empower teachers and students in SOS Villages primary schools, fostering a seamless integration of technology into the learning environment. Learn more about them at: https://www.sos.org.pk/

Len Tyler School of Music
The collaboration between Rahnuma Public School and Len Tyler School of Music is fostering a valuable initiative in the realm of education. Together, we are conducting free training workshops for teachers from various schools in Pakistan. Notable partners in this endeavor include Development in Literacy (DIL), SOS, and Korangi Academy. The workshops aim to equip educators with the knowledge and skills needed to enhance music education in schools.

Music Education is exercise for the brain allowing children to develop powerful memory systems, raising their general cognitive capacity and become very comfortable with learning. Studies have also shown that children who have undertaken music education before the age of 7 have higher IQ then children who were not given this opportunity. Literacy and numeracy are both strengthened by music education.
